
Chris’ career to date has seen him perform on some of the biggest musical theatre stages throughout Australia and overseas. His London West End credits include 'Les Miserables' and the original production of 'Napoleon' at the Shaftesbury Theatre in which he played the role of Valcourt. While in the UK, Chris was invited to sing the anthems at the Rugby League World Cup and was subsequently asked to perform at the Challenge Cup Final at Twickenham in front of a crowd of 75,000. He was also in the top six finalists at the 2005 BBC Musical Theatre Singer of the World contest in Cardiff.
Before his UK engagements, Chris spent much of the last decade performing throughout Australia and New Zealand. While studying at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music he performed in a variety of operas including Tosca, Carmen, Billy Budd (Bosun), Albert Herring (Sid), Gianni Schicci and The Bear (Smirnoff) and became a regular on the concert circuit with The ABC Australian Sinfonia and Colin Harper’s Queensland Pops Orchestra. Television credits in Australia include the 'Flame of Freedom' concert celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Victory Day, The Denise Show and Midday with Kerri-Anne Kennerley.
His favourite musical theatre roles to date include Che in Evita and especially Jean Valjean in 'Les Miserables' where he has amassed an incredible 2500 plus performances, performing the leading role to audiences throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia, South Africa and London’s West End production at the Palace Theatre.
Sarah Knight as Cleo
Sarah is a graduate of the Wellington Conservatorium (now known as the new Zealand School of Music). After a move to Australia she attended Post Graduate Studies at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, one of the country's leading music schools under the tutelage of the esteemed Professor Jan Del Pratt.
This classically trained singer has technique to be flexible across pop, folk, classical, jazz and music theatre. Most recently Sarah was seen as Beth in the premiere of Handle With Care by Megan Shorey.
When not performing as a solo artist, Sarah is a member of Paisley Lane, a supremely gifted female ensemble who have just released their single 'Poets and Dreamers'.
Spiros was born in Corfu, Greece, grew-up in Athens and pursued his musical studies in Vienna, Austria, with violinists E. Melkus and R. Odnopossoff and composer F. Neumann. He won prizes at the International competitions of Colmar, France and Forte dei Marmi, Italy.
He came to Australia in 1976 as a member of the Vienna based chamber music group ENSEMBLE I and has held teaching positions at Victorian College Of The Arts, Melbourne University, University Of South Queensland and the University Of Queensland ( senior Lecturer) . He founded the Chamber Orchestra 'Rantos Collegium', in Melbourne and the Brisbane Chamber Orchestra. During his Melbourne years he conducted the Melbourne Youth Orchestra, MCAE Symphony and the Chamber strings of Melbourne (1986-96).
He has appeared as soloist and conductor with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, QTO, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Darwin Symphony, and worked with community orchestras such as Frankston, Kew, Geelong, Toowoomba, Heidelberg, Preston.
International touring took him to many countries and he recorded for various labels including Deutsche Grammophon, Harmonia Mundi, Adelcord and Grevillea Records (over 55 records). He is also frequent guest performer for National radio and television broadcast companies in Europe, Asia and Australia. In 2010 he appears in various recitals in Queensland and Victoria with pianist Brachi Tilles and in Chamber music programs with ENSEMBLE I.'
